Stuart Dawson
IRIS Accounting & Business Solutions
Stuart joined IRIS in September 2005. Previously, he
ran the EMEA Operations for RedPrairie, a venture capital backed
global provider of supply chain software.
After studying Electronic Engineering, Stuart has spent most of
his career in the software industry, where he has held senior
positions in sales, marketing and general management in both
private and public companies.
Ian Ashby
IRIS NFP & Business Solutions
Ian joined IRIS in September 2007. Prior to IRIS, Ian held
a number of CEO/MD and senior Sales and Marketing roles in the UK
and Europe in both publicly traded and privately held companies
within the telecommunications and technology/IP industries.
These roles included VP Sales and Marketing for major European
integrator NextiraOne (formerly part of Alcatel), Divisional CEO
for Novar PLC, EMEA VP for Lucent Technologies (now Avaya
Communications) and MD roles at the Cable & Wireless Group.
Immediately prior to joining IRIS, Ian was CEO of Exony, a UK-based
software vendor focused on value-added applications for the
enterprise contact centre market, where he led the company’s rapid
growth.
Ian has an MA (Hons) and an MEng in Chemical Engineering from
Cambridge University, and spent his early career in the oil and gas
industry.
Phill Robinson
IRIS Accountancy Practice Solutions

Phill joined IRIS in January 2009. He brings to IRIS a broad
combination of business development, product strategy and executive
management experience that has helped to build major software
organisations in Europe including Siebel Systems and
Salesforce.com. During his time with Salesforce.com, Phill also
held the positions of Chief Marketing Officer and Chief Operating
Officer, Sales and Distribution – based in San Francisco.
Since his return from living in the US, Phill has been CEO of
Velocix, a UK Venture backed business and has also held board and
advisory positions in a number of early stage companies.
Phill holds a BSc (Hons) in Computer Science from Coventry
University
Oliver Shaw
IRIS SME Solutions

Oliver joined IRIS in February 2009.
Oliver has a strong sales and marketing background, having built
and run telemarketing operations of significant scale for Capital
One and Fortis Insurance, where he was Sales & Marketing
Director of RIAS Plc, responsible for a telesales team of over 800
people. Oliver was part of the senior executive team that designed
and delivered a strategy that transformed RIAS from a mid ranking
insurance broker to a leading over 50s brand in the top 3 brokers
for home insurance.

Peter McNaney
Group Chief Information Officer
Peter joined IRIS in March 2005 from Pivotal
Corporation, a market-leading author of Customer Relationship
Management systems across a broad range of industries.
Peter started his career as a software engineer with Smith
Industries Aerospace and Defence, before moving onto specialist
software vendors working on the provision of sales, marketing and
customer service systems. Peter also worked for a business unit of
the Royal Bank of Scotland as Development Manager for their
internal systems.
Peter has over 20 years' experience in the IT sector,
focusing primarily on project management and IT governance. As CIO
for IRIS, he is responsible for all aspects of the group's internal
information systems applications, development and information
technology strategy.
David Pinches
Group Marketing Director
David joined IRIS in September 2008 from The Sage
Group plc.
David has over 25 years’ experience in the software sector,
originally from a technical background but progressing through
support, sales and into senior marketing, general
management and director level roles. His sector experience
includes business application software across the SME and large
enterprise sectors with Lotus Development (now part of IBM),
Software Publishing Corporation, QSP and Sage.
David holds responsibility for the IRIS product strategies
and roadmaps as well as driving best practice marketing activities
across the group.
Phil Dawes
Group Engineering Director
Phil joined IRIS in February 2009 from Verint Systems. Phil
has spent the last 15 of his 20 years within the IT industry
holding senior executive positions in a number of private and
public software companies, typically during periods of significant
change, and has been responsible for many of the key operations
within those businesses. These positions include Senior Vice
President of Global Services and Support for Witness Systems,
Executive Vice President of Worldwide Research and Development for
Eyretel PLC and Chief Operating Officer for the CODA Group plc.
Reflecting this background, Phil has strong and extensive
experience in leading programs to ensure successful and continuous
performance improvements.
Phil holds a BA (Hons) in History from Lancaster University and
is a qualified accountant having trained as a management accountant
in a number of industries in his early career.
Phil has responsibility for the development and maintenance of
IRIS’ software products.
