In 2011, the IRIS employees nominated Macmillan Cancer Support
as their chosen charity and together with Community Champions at
all IRIS sites, pledged to raise £25,000.
Through a concerted and passionate effort by all and supported
by matched funding from IRIS, the amount raised in 2011 is an
amazing £66,000 and this total is still growing.
Funds were raised in a variety of ways including sport events,
raffles, in-house quizzes, summer BBQ’s, Christmas days and many
other initiatives both large and small.
The ultimate challenge is planned for 27th January when a team of
18 employees fly to Kilimanjaro to climb the highest freestanding
mountain in the world.
