Football League approves CRM and ticketing suppliers for
clubs.
IRIS today announced that it has received
approval from The Football League for both CRM and ticketing
systems. The Football League announced on 2 December that IRIS is
one of two companies to be granted CRM and ticketing approved
supplier status for the 2009/10 season.
Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and ticketing are two
critical areas of football club business. The status is
designed to help League clubs with the often daunting task of
appointing a CRM and ticketing supplier.
Relevant suppliers were invited to tender
earlier in the year and after a comprehensive process, The League
has endorsed four CRM suppliers and four ticketing
suppliers. Each receives the status for the 2009/10 season
along with a range of benefits for their achievement. IRIS is one
of only two companies approved for both ticketing and CRM systems,
and is therefore able to offer integrated solutions under this
accreditation.
Football League Marketing Manager David
Malkinson said “League clubs are always looking at ways to build
long-term and profitable relationships with their fans. In
order to support clubs our approved supplier programme helps them
to choose those CRM and ticketing suppliers who are suitable for
their business requirements.
“Having examined various suppliers, we have
nominated six suppliers for the 2009/10 season. IRIS provides an
outstanding CRM and ticketing solution for League clubs and we are
delighted to award them with The Football League's
'Approved CRM & Ticketing Supplier' status for
the 2009/10 season.”
The Football League used Goodform Ltd to
assist with the selection process. Managing Director Stuart
Dalrymple said “We have been delighted to work alongside The
Football League on this project. CRM is increasingly becoming
a focal point of the business of Football Clubs and it is pleasing
to be involved in the production of a report that is evidently of
value to its audience.”
IRIS Talent Sport provides functions for ticketing, web sales,
corporate sales, marketing, merchandising and more in one package,
all underpinned by a central CRM database. The key to success of
IRIS Talent Sport is the single, unified customer database which
allows marketing managers to develop superbly targeted campaigns at
carefully profiled supporters. Clubs can, for instance,
identify the proportion of spectators in each section of the ground
who visit the club shop. Where the number of supporters in a
section using the shop on match days is low the club can send an
emailed special offer or else set-up a satellite shop or stall in a
different part of the ground. Profiling can also identify ways of
boosting ticket sales, such as identifying club members who haven’t
bought season tickets and offering special deals on low-demand
fixtures and half-season tickets.
John Buckley, Marketing Manager for IRIS
Talent, said “This is an excellent endorsement of the work we’ve
been able to do with UK soccer clubs over the last few years.”
