The pressure on the service sector to return major efficiencies
is driving an increase in sales of Field Service software according
to IRIS, the largest privately owned business software house in the
UK.
The IRIS Field Service
Solutions division is on track to become one of the group’s
leading performers with year-end results showing 13% revenue growth
over the same period last year.
The company’s reputation for developing specialist systems that
return fast ROI is helping to secure significant new business
according to Iain MacLachlan, Managing Director of IRIS Field
Service Solutions. He said: “Service organisations are currently
under huge pressure to deliver better service to their customers
and at the same time, keep costs down. However, many of the older
systems are just not up to the task.
Organisations are recognising that service management systems
that unite the front and back-office are one of the only ways of
surviving the tough economic climate and rather than delay the
investment, they are choosing to implement sooner rather than
later.”
With a secure long-term financial platform, IRIS is investing in
the future with a commitment to invest £20m
in Research and Development across the group during 2009. This
forms part of an ongoing strategy to strive for continual
improvements in performance and quality and to deliver major
upgrades to existing products as well as new solutions.
Major organisations such as RSA, Npower and Fuji Film use IRIS
Service Management software to provide better control, visibility
and flexibility which in turn, leads to better service delivery and
maximised profits. As well as managing back-office functions, IRIS
enables organisations to manage individual field service engineers
by equipping front line operatives and engineers with the essential
information needed to perform their roles efficiently.
