IRIS Workstation Installation Error 3 - Invalid String Format

Problem

When the user tries to run through a Workstation setup he keeps failing the test for the workstation enviroment saying the installation directory is invalid and cannot open file [server name]irisIrisDBConfig.xml When the user tries to run WSS_v6.11.3 he gets the following message: Installation error 3 - Configuration Process The installation has aborted during the configuration process Unable to locate information about installed any database in file [server name]irisIrisDBConfig.xml

Resolution

You need to install C++ 2013 and reboot the computer Locate Microsoft Visual C++2013 redist in Programs and Features. Double click and select the Repair option or Reinstall from here.
