Problem
It has been reported by some users when submitting Accounts to HMRC the following rejection message occurs: ‘Error 3318 in Accounts The Period to which this return applies does not coincide with the effective from/to dates of the referenced Accounts Taxonomy. Please correct and re-submit’.
Resolution
This rejection is occurring because the taxonomy being applied to the accounts is no longer supported by HMRC, where the start date is on or after 1st January 2016. The new FRS taxonomy must be applied, to achieve this the accounts must be transitioned to one of the new accounting standards. Please make the transition to FRS 101, 102 or 105 to avoid this rejection. Please use the FRS assist for guidance on which accounting standard to apply. We have detailed step by step guides published on our IRIS Help Centre IRIS Help Centre. Click IRIS Accounts Production, How to Guides and then choose FRS.
