Anti-Slavery International (www.antislavery.org) has specified
the Charity version of the IRIS Exchequer Financial Management
system to improve the speed and quality of the financial management
information it provides to its budget holders. The new system
replaces a three year old financial package that was failing to
keep up with the charity’s increased demands.
The latest win for the developers of the
Exchequer system, not-for-profit sector specialist, IRIS
(www.iris.co.uk/exchequer), is a significant one as Anti-Slavery
International is a high profile organisation and is well respected
amongst its peers. The Charity also uses IRIS Integra, a
leading web integrated relationship management system in the
not-for-profit sector.
Martin Hubbard, Finance Manager, explained the
reasons for specifying Exchequer.
He said: “Exchequer stood out because of its’
look and feel. We were particularly impressed by the system’s
ability to drill down at speed to original transactions and the
links to Microsoft Excel will allow us to easily analyse specific
projects so we can provide in-depth information to our budget
holders.”
IRIS Exchequer is unusual because of its
ability to query the transaction database through a tightly
integrated Excel interface allowing users to roam through the
transaction database as though they were using ‘native’ Exchequer
capability.
Martin also commented on the single ledger. He
added: “The Exchequer approach to ledger management was an
important consideration in the selection process. We like the way
in which departments and cost centres are given individual
reporting codes so we can break down costs more accurately.”
The Exchequer financial management system has
a proven track record for providing key industry functionality to
meet the specialist needs of the not-for-profit sector and its
Charity version is currently used by around 200 Charitable
organisations worldwide.
A recent survey by leading not-for-profit
publication Charity Finance has found that IRIS accounting
systems scored the highest overall satisfaction rating in the mid
range category.
