IRIS has enabled the British Computer Society (BCS) to
successfully automate the management of its IT employer lead Group
Membership Scheme (GMS) by deploying the powerful Profile Concept
GMS module, which complements the fully integrated Profile Concept
back office and web modules.
An IRIS client since 2004, BCS has benefited
from enhanced CRM & membership management as well as automation
of processes for half a decade, significantly contributing to the
organisation’s continuous development and growth as the leading
body for those working in IT.
To advance professionalism in IT on the
corporate level, BCS launched its Group Membership Scheme in 2006,
targeting organisations wishing to develop best practise in their
IT departments. Since its inception just two years ago, an
impressive 125 major IT employers have demonstrated their
commitment to IT professionalism by joining the Scheme, and are now
benefiting from the competitive advantage offered by the BCS Group
Membership.
To support growth and improve service
delivery, BCS decided to streamline the cumbersome and task-heavy
processes involved in managing the Group Membership Scheme by
deploying the fully integrated Profile Concept GMS web application.
Allowing client organisations to effortlessly manage their group
membership online, the solution provides fully automated GMS
processing and extensive reporting, as well as visibility of
membership activity and payment history.
Sherilyn Aitken, Membership Operations Team
Leader at BCS elaborates: “The prior GMS processing required a
lot of manual effort. With Profile Concept GMS, we can now
automatically process member applications, renewals and upgrades,
which will free our time to assist customers in other areas.
Furthermore, as the GMS is fully integrated with the Profile
Concept back office database, we can deal with all client queries
using a single source of data. This helps us to further develop our
customer relationships and build a bigger picture of our
business”.
BCS went live with Profile Concept GMS in
November 2007 and is already reaping the benefits from the new
solution in the form of improved efficiency and flexibility to cope
with the increasing business demand. More importantly, the client
feedback has been extremely positive, not least because joining the
group membership is now significantly more straightforward for the
customers. The GMS automation means that BCS is able to fully
concentrate on delivering value to their corporate clients instead
of tackling with time-consuming paperwork, truly maintaining
professionalism in IT.
Simon Fowler, Managing Director at IRIS NFP
Solutions says: “The BCS Group Membership Scheme development
provides yet another example of IRIS’s expertise in the membership
sector and its ability to relate to clients’ requirements.
Delivering high level of automation and a single platform for
reporting and analysis, Profile Concept will help BCS to continue
the GMS success story. We are proud to work with the
British Computer Societyto provide appropriate software
solutionsand look forward to the future cooperation with
BCS”.
BCS has been extremely pleased with the GMS development
and is already planning to extend the automation it provides to
other areas, such as membership applications and assessment.
Sherilyn Aitken concludes: “The Profile Concept
GMS project demonstrates a mutual effort and benefit of committed
partners. Our close cooperation with IRIS has seen numerous
developments in the system over the years, and we have very much
enjoyed our relationship with the Profile Concept team. We feel
that they truly understand our requirements and will help us to
take our business forward as the leading voice in the IT
sector.
