The ‘Exchequer’ accounting and business system has made
the final short-list for the Software Satisfaction Awards 2007. The
mid-range system was nominated by its users in the annual awards
scheme which is run by Sift Media in association with the Business
Application Software Developers’ Association (BASDA).
The winners will be
announced on the 9th October at the Brewery in
London.
The nominations highlight those companies that
users consider are successfully catering for their needs. John
Stokdyk, Editor of AccountingWeb’s IT Zone said: “Exchequer has
been absorbed into the larger IRIS Group, funded by private equity
investors, but still appears to retain the close relationships that
are so important in keeping customers satisfied with the
product.”
The Exchequer accounting and business system (www.exchequer.co.uk) has been
the focus of substantial investment by the IRIS Software Group,
which is the largest privately owned software company in the UK, to
ensure that Exchequer continues to lead the field in terms of
functionality and reliability. A new IRIS CRM Suite was launched in
July which is ‘significantly more sophisticated than those offered
by many mid-market accounting software vendors’ and a new Stock
Forecasting Module that optimises efficiency with a proven planning
engine was introduced in August. These are due to be followed with
one of the most significant new releases of the system for many
years (Exchequer v6) in autumn 2007.
Stuart Dawson, Managing Director of the IRIS
Accounting and Business Solutions Division in Bournemouth
commented: “Being nominated for this Mid-range Software
Satisfaction Award is an important achievement for the entire team
because the results are decided by users rather than a panel of
judges. Our focus is to develop a system that provides our users
with unrivalled access to business information backed at all times
by the highest levels of personal customer care.”
