The Law Society is to overhaul its membership management and
associated business processes by replacing its existing, disparate
databases with IRIS Group’s Integra CRM and Membership Management
software package.
Providing the Law Society with a full range of
functionally rich modules as well as complete web integration,
Integra will enable the organisation to achieve a single view of
its membership and operations.
The Law Society is the representative body for more than 110,000
solicitors across England and Wales. Established in 1825, the Law
Society protects and promotes solicitors by negotiating with and
lobbying the profession's regulators, government and others and by
offering training and advice to its members. As the leading voice
on law reform, the Law Society strives to guarantee public access
to high quality legal services and vigorous promotion of
solicitors’ interests.
As one of the largest professional bodies in the UK, the Law
Society required a powerful software solution for managing its
complex membership data, enabling the organisation to consolidate
business processes and improve member services. Furthermore, the
Law Society needed to upgrade its online presence by providing its
members with a comprehensive set of personalised services with full
integration to the back office database.
Following a thorough selection exercise including an in-depth
analysis of the shortlisted solutions’ functional and technical
fit, IRIS Group’s Integra package was identified as having the
strongest overall fit to the Law Society’s requirements, including
non-functional requirements such as the ability to implement it in
the UK. To complete the selection process, 20 Gap Analysis
workshops were run and a 6 week Proof of Concept Exercise was
undertaken prior to signing contracts in late July 2007.
