The most recent introduction to the fast growing IRIS portfolio
of accounting and business software software, ‘IRIS Accounts
Office’, has been awarded the prestigious Institute of Chartered
Accountants in England and Wales Accreditation.
The system was independently and rigorously
assessed by Baker Tilly, the ICAEW’s chosen assessor, to ensure
that it meets with the stringent set of criteria laid down for
software evaluated for the Accreditation Scheme.
IRIS is a strong supporter of the Scheme and
is the only accountancy software developer to have all core
practice products accredited by the Institute.
Stuart Dawson, Managing Director of the IRIS
Accounting and Business Solutions Division commented: “We see the
ICAEW Accreditation Scheme as a fail safe way for customers to gain
an independent overview of any system they are considering. If the
software has been through the rigorous assessments set down by the
ICAEW and receives an independent accreditation, they can feel
confident in their choice.”
The Accreditation is further good news for the
accounting system that is going from strength to strength. An
independent review of the software in the October issue of Personal
Computer World gave IRIS Accounts Office the seal of approval with
a 4 star rating. Business Editor, Alan Stevens, said it is “an easy
to use, well featured finance package for small businesses.”
Introduced in 2006, IRIS Accounts Office is an
accounting system built for today’s growing businesses and enables
users to take advantage of the features usually only found in more
expensive mid-range systems, including a multi level drill-down
facility, LiveLink Microsoft Excel integration, an integrated email
facility for sending paperless documents, advanced reporting and
analysis including cost centres and departments and true
multi-currency functionality.
