IRIS has been named as a National Finalist in the
‘Business of the Year’ category of the National Business Awards for
the third year in succession.

The National Business Awards programme, sponsored by Orange, is
designed to recognise business excellence across all vertical
markets and to embrace businesses of all sizes and all ages.
To reach the finals of these highly respected awards is a
significant accomplishment for IRIS which is one of the fastest
growing companies in the UK. Finalists have to be able to
demonstrate exceptional financial returns, strong growth and
innovation strategies plus market leadership in their sector.
Over the past 12 months, IRIS has grown dramatically from a “run
rate” of just over £30m revenue p.a. to well over £100m p.a. This
is the result of market leading organic growth, complementary
strategic acquisitions and a £500m Management Buyout and merger
backed by Hellman & Friedman (a major U.S private equity
firm).
This merger enabled IRIS to combine with Computer Software Group
plc in June 2007 and as a result, the enlarged business is the
largest privately owned software business in the UK delivering
accountancy practice, legal and compliance, not for profit,
accounting and business and payroll and HR solutions to in excess
of 60,000 UK organisations.
IRIS has market leading positions in its 5 Business Units, all with
a very strong vertical and/or niche market focus.
