25th September 2007
A new all day format for this year’s IRIS customer meetings is
proving so popular that pre-registrations have already surpassed
those received at the same point last year which ultimately
resulted in a record attendance of 1500 accountancy practices.
The IRIS World 2007
meetings each comprise a leading edge conference with keynote
speakers including the likes of Companies House, Microsoft and
others who will reveal recent innovations and exciting developments
for the future.
The events, which run throughout October, have become a regular
fixture in accountants’ diaries as they provide the opportunity to
keep abreast of industry developments and trends. The structure and
educational format is unique in this market with IRIS, the only software house, to
stage such large scale events on an annual basis.
A theme of ‘Best Practice’ will underpin the day’s sessions and
the carefully chosen agenda will examine ‘What is best practice?’,
‘How best practice can be deployed’ and which ‘tools, products and
services can best serve your firm to become the best practice in
its field’.
Robert Salvoni, Managing Director of Accountancy Practice
Solutions will begin the day by looking at how the accountant’s
role continues to diversify and what goes to make up ‘best
practice’.
The innovative
multi-office practice, Morris Owen*, a finalist in this year’s
Accountancy Age Awards for best use of the internet shown by a
practice, has accepted an invitation to speak at the events and
their presentation will look at how technology is being utilised to
develop the practice of the future. The 6 partner team employing
over 50 staff utilises IRIS technology to provide a ‘client
centric’ operation that they believe acts as a real
differentiator.
A series of “Learn more about” electives are scheduled for the
afternoon and delegates will have the opportunity to spend time in
a comprehensive exhibitor showcase area where they can meet
partners, service providers, IRIS product experts and account
managers as well as other accountancy practice members.
There are to be six events at locations chosen for their ease of
accessibility.
The six locations are:
- October 3rd - Microsoft Campus, Reading
- October 4th - The Centennial Centre, Birmingham
- October 9th - Craiglands Hotel, Ilkley, Leeds
- October 11th - Marriott St Pierre, Chepstow
- October 16th - New Connaught Rooms, London
- October 30th - Hampden Park, Glasgow
The cost for attending the conference is £25 per person plus VAT
to include lunch, refreshments, administration and the delegate
pack.
*The Ayr practice, Sinclair Scott, will present at the final
