The PTP Development Team has recently completed work on a major
upgrade to its market leading software products. Work began in the
spring of 2007 to ensure that the brand continues to evolve in line
with the changing needs of the accountancy market and that the
range is ‘future proofed’ for its current customer base of over
5000 users.
The latest versions of its Compliance, Added Value,
Practice Management and Reference Software, have undergone rigorous
testing before shipment, which commenced on October 8th
2007.
One of the most important new features in this
major upgrade is the range’s compatibility with Microsoft Windows
Vista. As most new hardware now comes pre-loaded with the
Windows Vista Operating System, ensuring the software’s compliance
with Vista has been an important priority for the team.
Paul Onions, Operations Director said:
“Many accountants think that their existing software products will
automatically run on the new Windows Vista Operating System but
this is not the case. A significant re-programming project needed
to be undertaken to ensure that PTP Software supports Vista and our
users can be confident that if they buy new hardware in the run up
to the busy tax software season, their PTP programs will run
successfully without any interruption to productivity.”
“These enhancements are all part of a
comprehensive long term plan for the PTP brand and with the support
and backing of IRIS, it puts us in a very strong position to
attract new customers that are looking for technical innovation
that is backed by quality, reliability and exemplary technical
support from qualified advisers.”
