Simon Jersey, the UK's leading supplier of corporate clothing,
is launching a new web store using the latest intelligent ecommerce
technology.
The new web store is to be powered by the TALENT
ebusiness software. Developed by IRIS Software Group, TALENT
ebusiness is an ecommerce package used by companies such as Adnams,
Alfred Dunhill and Liverpool FC.
Designed to integrate to financials, sales and ERP systems on the
IBM System i (aka the AS400 or iSeries) and Windows platforms, the
system processes sales and payments automatically, saving time and
money on administration.
Dynamic self service
For Simon Jersey's customers, the web store will offer a dynamic
self service suite. Customers will be able to track their orders
and deliveries in real-time, print copies of their invoices, pay
their balance online, amend their details and much more.
In-built customer relationship management
One of the unique benefits of TALENT ebusiness is the in-built CRM
suite. Glenn Jackson, Managing Director of IRIS Software Group,
says, "TALENT ebusiness pulls information from your back-office
systems and links it to the appropriate customer's record on the
CRM suite. This means you have one complete view of your customers
- you can analyse their demographics, loyalty, location, previous
purchases, typical spend, recency, frequency and much more... You
can then use this information to be highly targeted in your
marketing, for example, you could offer all your customers whose
spend has dropped off in the last two months a special
discount."
Intelligent up-selling
The CRM suite also powers the system's intelligent up-selling
capabilities. When customers login, the system recognises who they
are and can suggest products to compliment the items they have
bought recently and tailor this to reflect their age, gender,
loyalty etcetera.
Graham Entwistle, Simon Jersey's Director of IT, says, "We are
really excited about the new store. It will allow us to offer our
customers a fantastic service online, as well as helping to reduce
our administrative workload and drive our sales and marketing
opportunities. We selected the TALENT ebusiness software because it
was the best in terms of functionality and because it is an off the
shelf ecommerce package with a strong userbase. For us, this is
really important so that our web store is continually developed as
technology moves forward. It is also very
cost-effective."
Adnams launch B2C web store
Another company already using the TALENT ebusiness software is
brewer Adnams. Emma Hibbert, Adnams' Corporate Affairs Manager,
says, "With the TALENT ebusiness system, we can now see what
each of our customers have bought from us - whether via the online
store, mail order or in the retail outlets. This is valuable in
helping us to understand more about our customers and be more
tailored in our marketing and up-selling."
