Job Summary

Responsible for resolving problems involving ICT systems across the company.

Providing 2nd line telephone, web, IM and email support to users.

To provide support to enable users to make effective use of systems.

To provide day-to-day support, operation and control of all equipment within an IT and telecommunications network infrastructure.

Ensuring that internal SLA`s and ITIL processes are followed and completed within required timescales.

Main Responsibilities

Desktop Support (Windows XP/Vista/7/8)

Server monitoring (Windows 2003/2008/2012)

Application support (MS CRM, Office 2010, Lync)

Troubleshooting of internal software

Hardware maintenance

Phone system changes (Avaya)

Exchange Administration (2010)

Office moves/relocations

PC Network troubleshooting

Key Relationships

You will need to create good working relationships with:

  • IT department
  • All internal users
  • External suppliers


  • MCP in recent Windows desktop operating system and/or server operating system would be beneficial.
  • MCDST/MCSA ideally


Proven experience working within a helpdesk environment.

  • Sound networking experience.
  • Experienced in supporting Windows XP, Vista and 7.
  • Experience of maintaining Windows Server 2008
  • Experience of server installations
  • Exchange 2007/2010 administration experience.
  • Experience of working within SLA and ITIL defined businesses preferred
