Job Summary

Based within the Manchester Sales & Marketing office and working under the direction of a marketing director to help reach the company's marketing goals and objectives.

Supporting the wider marketing team in planning, delivering and analysing activities and their effectiveness, and carrying out various activities and tasks to help achieve their individual plans.

Helping to maintain social media accounts for IRIS brands, products and services; plan and execute social media activity across the appropriate channels.

Supporting the content team with the production of all major marketing materials, working closely with internal teams, printers and other involved parties.

Help organise events, exhibitions and seminars, making bookings and overseeing a variety of activities associated with each event.

Carrying out general administrative duties for the marketing department.


Main responsibilities 

  • Maintain the marketing calendar for campaigns and events across the team, to ensure that activities are planned in advance and delivered on time with no conflict of audience.
  • Build email campaigns to prospects and customers in Marketo, to support the campaign managers and ensure to customers are kept up to date with service and product updates.
  • Work with the internal comms team to take responsibility for the creation of internal communications, such as the company newsletter.
  • Assist with the management and population of content on the website, to ensure IRIS remains on-brand and up to date across all areas of the site; have a basic understanding of the site performance.
  • Assist in the sourcing, construction and posting of interesting content throughout Twitter, LinkedIn and other social platforms; to drive traffic to the main IRIS website.
  • Support the events manager to publicise and promote events and webinars, and work with the campaign managers to support the external marketing of the events within agreed deadlines and budgets.
  • Work alongside the management team to learn the fundamentals of how we work and take part in regular training to increase your product knowledge.
  • Prepare literature packs and monitor stock levels for all giveaways; to ensure we have the right amount of stock available to support all marketing activities.
  • Provide administrative and project support to the marketing team as needed.
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
  • Promote a positive, professional and consistent brand image of IRIS to both staff and external customers.



  • 1-2 years’ experience in a B2B digital marketing role
  • Experience using Marketo or similar marketing automation tools (Hubspot, Pardot, MailChimp), online webinar and events apps such as GoToWebinar and Eventbrite
  • Experience of working in a professional, fast paced business
  • Experience of contributing to social media campaigns
  • A strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages and be familiar with website and social media administration and analysis
  • Excellent problem solving skills with the ability to multi-task and work well when challenged to tight deadlines
  • Excellent literacy and numeracy skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proactive and enthusiastic with the ability to generate ideas that result in a positive outcome for IRIS
  • Ability to plan and manage activities effectively, with great attention to detail.
  • A proactive, ’can-do’ approach and be willing to get involved in projects outside the scope of the role as necessary



  • Experience using Marketo and is a Marketo Certified Expert. Knowledge of the accountancy or business services sector would be a distinct advantage.
