Job Summary

The jobholder will be responsible for supporting the IAS sales teams (predominantly telesales) by providing presales support for IRIS Accountancy Suite products and services. This will include:

• Pre sales customer demonstrations (web)

• Providing answers to product technical questions (to sales person or customer)

• Developing lead generation & campaign ideas

• Delivering Sales & Marketing webinars including product demonstration

Primary Products & Service covered:

• IRIS Core Productivity modules

• Optionally expanding into other products such as: IRIS Hosting, OpenWebsites etc.

Main Responsibilities

• Work with Account Teams to provide sales support for opportunities

• Understand customer goals and challenges & help establish IRIS as the best solution available

• Advise Accountants and their IT Staff on their business software needs

• Deliver Sales Webinars on all areas of the IRIS Accountancy Suite

• Build and present customised demonstrations

• Present IRIS Technology including demonstrating deep familiarity with the products and accountancy practices

• Help to develop & deliver product sales training and help certify the sales organisation

Key Relationships

The role is a customer facing role and will be viewed as being a key part of the sales process both by internal staff and external customers. It will also ensure that the IRIS name continues to be synonymous with excellent customer service and the deployment of solutions that meet the customer’s needs.

Accountancy qualification advantageous but not essential. Relevant experience is more valuable


• Work as part of virtual teams to solve customers’ business and technical issues

• Solid verbal, written, presentation and interpersonal skills

• Knowledge of related applications and web technology

• Previous experience as a Pre Sales Consultant is desired

• Experience as a user or technical consultant for IRIS products (advantageous)

• Experience of Pre/Post Sales (advantageous)
