Job Summary

An experienced business analyst is required to work on a major business and IT transformation programme supporting change across the Marketing (Marketo), Sales (NetSuite CRM) domains.

IRIS is undertaking a major transformation programme, which will introduce common systems, processes and policies across all divisions. The Business Analyst will support the final system design by ensuring new systems and processes support agreed architectural principles and conform to project governance in data ownership and data quality.

In particular, the Business Analyst will collaborate with project, application, infrastructure and business managers and ensure that solutions are suitably integrated and aligned to the IT Business Plan (the business case). 

Throughout the project delivery lifecycle, the Business Analyst will maintain the required level of solution documentation to ensure that requirements remain prioritised and relevant.

The Business Analyst will be extensively involved in testing of the delivered solutions ensuring that system, integration, regression & user acceptance testing is thorough with issues reported, triaged and managed through to resolution.

   

Main responsibilities 

 

 

  • Manage, document and maintain the business requirements and solution definition document throughout project execution

  • Identify and manage change requirements, liaise with stakeholders to assess and agree impacts

  • Work with stakeholders to create and agree new business processes to standardise across business divisions
  • Perform discovery analysis on systems hypothesis statements to  support or challenge
  • Work closely with other members of the transformation programme team including programme managers, project managers, data architects, workstream SME’s and the PMO to deliver cross workstream  success
  • Support the program manager in advising the Technical Design Authority ensuring that all relevant business and technology concerns are appropriately considered in required TDA decisions

  • Liaise with and support stakeholders to the initiative throughout the project lifecycle 

  • Manage communications to/from these stakeholders and take ownership for stakeholder concerns and expectations

  • Collaborate with all IT shared service teams

  • Continually assess and identify areas for improvement in quality

  • Manage testing phases (phases to be determined by project)
  • Provide staff training, mentoring & creation of support material for systems implemented

Qualifications

Educated to degree level in relevant subject area

 

Domain level qualifications (Marketing, Sales)

 

Professional Accreditation (Ideally BCS Diploma in Business Analysis) or proven practical experience


Experience

Compulsory:

  • At least 5 years in a similar role working on project ~ £1m+
  • Understanding of key business process areas such as “Marketing to Lead” and “Lead to Order”
  • Recent experience of implementing business processes in CRM (Sales) and Marketing
  • Ability to write & present clearly and logically to all levels of the business team
  • Recent experience of full lifecycle projects
  • Experience with multiple delivery methodologies (Ideally waterfall and agile)
  • Experience of working on multiple projects at the same time

Desired:

  • Experience working in the software (or related) sector

  • Experience of working with multiple customer sales, pricing and product models

  • Experience of the Marketo (Marketing automation) Application

  • Experience of NetSuite CRM

Experience delivering CRM (Ideally using NetSuite & Marketo)
