Job Summary

This role is in IRIS's successful sales office located in Manchester City Centre. You will be responsible for the day to day running of the Business Development Telesales Team, achieving high team targets in a demanding environment, whilst ensuring the smooth and effective running and management of a team which supports our Business Development Field Consultants.

Responsible for organizing, motivating, monitoring, coaching, training and leading the team to make effective outbound calls to deliver billings, booked meetings and create new opportunities across a wide product portfolio.

The Telesales Team Manager will be responsible for the Business Development Telesales Team performance, ensuring that everyone within the team achieves set targets and working with the Head of IRIS Inside Sales to devise and deliver incentive schemes that motivate the team to reach and exceed these targets.

To continually assess the team and identify areas of improvement and development on an individual and team basis and implementing this in line with Telesales “best practice” through regular coaching, 1:1 and team meetings.

An experienced Team Supervisor/Leader/Manager with a proven successful sales career is needed as the role requires an inspirational leader whose primary focus will be based around training, coaching and developing their team.

Main responsibilities

Generating results & driving team to consistently deliver
Recruiting and training telesales staff to optimal sales call structures
Plan, prepare and deliver sales and product induction and on-going training for the telesales team
Carry out training needs analysis and implement structured coaching and individual training plans to ensure sales best practice is implemented by whole team
Ensure product knowledge of teams under control is at such a level they are able to deliver web based seminar demonstrations to a high level and train the same skills into the team
Supervising, motivating and monitoring the performance of the team including attendance management
Managing & reporting on targets and key performance indicators
Reporting back to the business where appropriate
Liaising with customers (which may include complaint handling)
Maintaining detailed knowledge of company products/services
Motivating and retaining staff
Assisting the Head of IRIS Inside Sales with preparation of reports, forecasting and analysis of opportunity against target on a daily/monthly basis
Making decisions on the basis of performance statistics, for example, which members of staff need to improve, how effective current approaches are, etc

Experience

Proven Telesales Manager new business software sales
Experience of successfully developing an Insdie Sales team
Demonstrable experience of managing the full software sales lifecycle through to post sale customer satisfaction and hand over to technical teams
Experience of selling to Accountancy Solutions (advantageous)

Qualifications

Educated to GCSE / A level. Degree preferable
Good English and Maths

Competencies

Proven Team Management experience – to be demonstrated
Experience of coaching, PDP & Appraisals
Knowledge of accountancy software and products desirable
Experience of managing Telemarketers in a similar environment
B2B experience in a similar industry
