Introducing your team: Caroline Shaw
As part of our continued support to you, we would like to introduce some key members of our team. These are some of the people you will be dealing with on a day to day basis so we thought we would tell you a little bit about them.
Caroline Shaw joined IRIS 12 months ago as an account manager on the Earnie payroll team. Her background is in HR, payroll and web enabled solutions. She has experience of finding ways that payroll can create efficiencies within their department through better use of technology and systems.
“I love meeting clients and working with them to find a better way or process to help them to deliver an improved service. The key problems we find with payroll is getting the variable data or hours into payroll. Most companies I have met implemented their Earnie system many years ago but it was set up to meet the needs of the business back then. The payroll setup often needs updating to meet the current and future demands of the business and unfortunately, this often gets over looked.
There has never been such a dramatic change for payroll people as in the current year 2013. We’ve seen all the legislative changes with RTI and for many companies, the introduction of workplace pension reform and auto enrolment. Regular account visits ensure that you are kept up-to-date with upcoming software and legislation changes”.
Caroline’s downtime is spent with her family and weekends are spent teaching her nine year old to play golf (whilst remembering to duck when her two year old has a go too!)
