Is your business still not complying with RTI?

Despite it being almost a year since HMRC introduced Real Time Information, a number of employers are still failing to comply with the new legislation.

New figures released by HMRC show that two large companies with over 5,000 employees and over 2,000 smaller companies with between 10 and 249 employees have not begun reporting PAYE data in real time.

HMRC did not release further details surrounding the businesses which are still not complying, but did announce that they have since been contacted.

Despite HMRC announcing that RTI had been largely successful and that “Over 99% of PAYE employment records are now being reported in real time”, this new announcement shows that some businesses are still struggling, and it is not just small businesses which are having trouble.

If you are still struggling to comply with RTI, the first step you must take is ensuring that you have compliant payroll software in place which is suited to your business requirements. IRIS offers a range of different RTI compliant payroll solutions suitable for any size businesses.
