Real Time Information (RTI) FAQ's: Part 2

In a previous blog post we discussed how over the past months of providing RTI training, there were certain questions which kept being raised by attendees and customers. We compiled a list of the most frequently asked RTI questions and our answers for you to see.

Since then, we have continued to provide RTI payroll software and training and have compiled a new list of the following questions which weren’t included in our first post.

Are there additional costs for RTI ready payroll?
IRIS software has not increased in price due to Real Time Information. However, if you use a different software supplier or outsourcing service for your payroll, you should speak to them about prices. A recent study by IRIS Software Group found that almost two thirds of outsourcing providers plan to increase their fees by up to 100% due to RTI.

Do I need RTI payroll software if I only have 2 employees?
We offer a range of different payroll software options for different sized companies. For small businesses with less than 10 employees, our free payroll software could be your best option.

Will there be RTI courses available after April?
Although we have already enrolled over 8,000 people on our RTI training courses, we are still holding more across the country right until April. We are also currently in the process of planning “emergency” RTI training courses for those who are not prepared by April and worried they will be left behind. We also offer one to one training either online or through on-site consultancy.

Do directors need to be on the system?
Yes. All employees who are paid under PAYE need to be entered into your system and their details submitted over to HMRC on or before each payroll run.

Will IRIS software be RTI ready by April?
All IRIS Payroll software is RTI ready now.
