We are excited to announce that we are joining forces with PayPal, the faster, safer way to pay online, on mobile phones and in-store.

As the first school online payments system in the UK to integrate PayPal into its platform, we will open up new payment options to our 4.5 million registered parents. This will enable parents to pay for school items, like dinner money or trips, more quickly and easily than using credit or debit cards.

Digital payments are now common place in everyday life; increasingly schools are recognising this change and providing it as an option to parents rather than cash or cheque. The seamless integration of PayPal as a payments option through ParentMail’s +Pay facility minimises the steps involved and offers increased security by removing the need to provide credit or debit card information.

Martin Temple, our payments director here at ParentMail, says: “Meeting the changing needs of parents and schools is at the heart of everything we do, so we are thrilled to be the first provider in the education sector to offer PayPal integration. We recognise that digital payments are increasingly popular in society, yet acknowledge that there can be concerns with the security of providing sensitive data online. By working with PayPal to provide a secure, streamlined option for making vital school payments, we hope to make the process easier and more successful for both parents, and consequently, schools.”

Mark Brant, PayPal UK, comments: “We are excited to work with ParentMail to provide parents with a more secure, convenient way to pay for school items. Parents are busier than ever, and PayPal is well placed to save them time by making it easier and faster to pay for school trips, school dinners and many other aspects of school life.”
