The Pensions Regulator (TPR) have increase their efforts to reach out to small businesses by making more use of their Facebook page by linking to help and support videos on YouTube.

With a large number of small and medium sized businesses (SMEs) using Facebook as part of their daily activity, TPR have decided that making full use of their Facebook page will mean greater exposure to the topics that they are talking about when it comes to auto enrolment and other pensions related activity.

In addition to this, small businesses are run by people at the end of the day. And with just over 30 million people in the UK on Facebook (just under half of the total population), TPR have the potential to reach a vast number of people by taking to promoting information via the social network.

The page is beneficial to both employers and employees because the information is balanced between information for both. At the time of writing, there are posts regarding how to avoid pension scams and also information about how employers can correctly select a pension provider.
