Over 50% of all Christmas spend will be online this year, according to a recent study. This means that around £10bn will be available for online retailers over the festive period.

According to recent figures the average individual spend for presents and Christmas items is £375 this year, adding up to a total UK figure of over £18bn.

This year will be the first time that over 50% of all Christmas spend will be taking place online. With events such as Cyber Monday where online shoppers are offered major discounts and deals for a limited period, and the increasing amount of choice online, it is easy to see why.

If you offer online shopping to your customers, it is vital that your web site is easy to navigate to ensure your customers complete their purchase.

A recent study found that 63% of shoppers last year were disappointed with an element of their online shopping. 33% stated complicated check out procedures as the most annoying element of online shopping, with 28% listing websites being too slow to load.

If you want to continue shopping over Christmas, you can do so by visiting the IRIS Store, which is available to you whenever you need. Don't forget, this is your last chance to get software and stationery at 2013 prices!
