Chemtura Manufacturing is based in Manchester and is part of Chemtura Corporation which is a global specialty chemical company listed on the New York Stock Exchange.

Major industries served include agriculture, building & construction, electrical & electronics, consumer, general industrial and transportation.  With global headquarters in Philadelphia they manufacture products in 31 countries and sell products in over 100 countries.

Chemtura Manufacturing have around 500 monthly employees over 4 different companies.  They have used EARNIE for more than 10 years and haven’t considered moving to another system as EARNIE meets all their payroll requirements.

“EARNIE is very flexible and can handle whatever pay rates and bonuses are required – we need to use a multitude of different calculations and EARNIE handles them all” states Louise Strange, Payroll Manager at Chemtura

“As an example we have different pension schemes for different members of staff, all containing different elements of pensionable pay and these can all be easily configured within EARNIE”.

Chemtura have recently added the optional Spreadsheet Import Module to their payroll and this has worked extremely well.  Louise says

“It is very quick and easy to import our pay information from Excel spreadsheets directly into EARNIE and this is a big time-saver.  The support team have been very helpful in assisting me to configure the module to my requirements.”

Chemtura pay employees by BACS and EARNIE produces an export file to link to the BACS system to make this process as easy as possible.

“We also use SAP Business One for our Accounts and the fact that EARNIE produces a journal file which feeds into SAP is extremely useful.  We don’t have to re-key data and can be confident the information transferred between systems is accurate.”

Louise would have no hesitation in recommending EARNIE to other manufacturers

“EARNIE offers great flexibility and is very easy to use”.
