Why has IRIS acquired BHIS?

The IRIS vision is to connect accountants, businesses and their employees, enabling them to efficiently manage their financial and compliance requirements to achieve success.

PC Share Register Plus from BHIS is a powerful solution for accountants and company secretaries who require an efficient solution for completing, generating and storing documents that need to be filed to Companies House. We have been providing PC Share Register Plus to IRIS PTP customers for a number of years, so this seemed the perfect evolution of the relationship.

BHIS also offer anti-money laundering and company formation solutions. These new additions to the IRIS portfolio will allow accountants to offer new revenue generating compliance services to their clients.

As a current BHIS customer, what does this mean for me?

There will be little change. Ian Burgess and Stephen Bennett have joined IRIS and they will focus on making the software even better moving forward. You will now also have access to our fully trained support team, who can offer telephone and email support to ensure your questions and queries continue to be answered professionally and promptly.

In practical terms, please continue to use the same contact details as you do now. When Ian and Stephen are not available, we will route your call to the right people to help you.

There are also a number of benefits to being an IRIS customer. These include free access to IRIS OpenTax and IRIS OpenSpace – the next generation of IRIS solutions.

Are Ian and Stephen joining IRIS? Will they stay with the business?

As part of the acquisition, Ian and Stephen will become members of the IRIS team and will help to lead the development of BHIS products moving forward.

I am a BHIS customer, will IRIS put my prices up?

You will be used to BHIS adding annual prices rises, in line with or just above inflation. To welcome you to IRIS and as a thank you for staying with BHIS, we are freezing your price until 2015.

I am an IRIS PTP customer, what does this mean for me?

Essentially, there will be no change for you whatsoever. And as BHIS is now owned by IRIS, it gives us more control over the future development of PC Share Register Plus.

Will there be any conflict in being a supplier to your competitors?

No. We do not anticipate this being an issue. BHIS will continue to supply PC Share Register Plus to partners until further notice.

Can I move from my 3rd party supplier to BHIS immediately?

Yes. IRIS is happy to welcome you to the IRIS family whenever you choose. However, you may want to discuss the terms of your licence with your current software provider. Particularly, the notice period you have to give.

I currently need a company secretarial solution. How can I purchase BHIS Share Register Plus?

You can purchase PC Share Register Plus in a number of ways. Through the website, through the IRIS Store, and directly from our PTP sales team on 0844 815 5530.

Doesn't IRIS already have its own company secretarial solution?

Yes, IRIS Company Secretarial is a fully integrated module of the IRIS Accountancy Suite. The integration with IRIS Accounts Production and Practice Management delivers a broad range of capabilities and efficiencies that may benefit accountants.

For medium and larger accountancy firms, and practices with growth plans, we do recommend IRIS Company Secretarial. IRIS Accountancy Suite users save around 22 hours per user, per month compared with other solutions. This time saved can help reduce costs and help firms grow quicker.

Does IRIS have any other acquisition targets?

We are always looking for suitable opportunities but we wouldn’t ever discuss them.
