April 2018

The countdown is on to Making Tax Digital for VAT

Monday 16 April at 3:30pm

Hiring can be a huge burden on any business, whether you’re part of a large firm struggling for space or a one man practice struggling for capacity.
If your practice is based in a city centre, hiring can be costly. If your practice is more remote based then recruiting skilled staff can feel like an impossibility.
IRIS Open Resourcing can free up your time and your people so your practice can concentrate on growth. Let IRIS take away the laborious tasks around Accounts Production, Taxation, iXBRL tagging, Bookkeeping, VAT and managed Payroll.
Please join our Live webinar on 8 February at 2pm, where our resourcing specialist Ketan Mistry will share examples of how IRIS is helping accountants overcome staffing challenges and demonstrate how Open Resourcing allows practices to focus resources on higher fee-earning work and client service and satisfaction.

From April 2019, any businesses with a turnover above the £85k VAT threshold will be unlikely to file them using HMRC’s free online VAT filing service, as the tool will not be updated for Making Tax Digital (MTD) compliance. The only way to submit VAT will be via MTD compliant software.

Given 80% of VAT submissions are currently made via the HMRC tool, MTD for VAT will likely cause significant disruption in the market.

Is your practice ready? Have you thought about how this will impact your practice and your clients?

Some of your clients may be happy to do this themselves, whilst others will likely turn to you, their trusted advisor, to make sure they stay compliant.

Join the first of our Live MTD webinar series on 16 April at 3pm to find out:

1) How is the accountancy sector dealing the MTD VAT challenge? See the finding from our March to IRIS accountants.

2) What you need to do over the next 12-months to get your practice and your clients ready; scale your time and workload to match the April 2018 deadline.
