How does a payroll department register for the myePayWindow portal?

Initial registration

Initial registration is on an invite basis. Registered contacts at the payroll department will receive an invitation email from The email will contain a link to the myePayWindow portal website to start the registration process.

Please note: The invitation link within the email is valid for 20 days. If the link expires, a new invitation will need to be sent. Email to request an invite.

Registration Step 1 – Verify Identity

  1. Select the link in the invitation email to open the myePayWindow registration webpage.
  2. Complete the requested information on the form to verify your identity.
  3. For the initial registration, the Date of Birth and Secret key will be supplied by IRIS and must be entered correctly for the registration process to proceed.

Please note:
• The first user created is sent the required credentials from IRIS.
• For Payroll Department Staff Users, the secret key is provided by the myePayWindow Admin User.
• For Employer Users it is a mutually agreed word.
Employees will be asked for their NI or passport number.

Registration Step 2 – Give consent

To register for myePayWindow, users must give consent to:

  • What information we collect.
  • Why we need it.
  • What we do with your information.
  • How long we keep it.
  • How we protect your information.

Review the information presented on the Give Consent screen and select I Agree to give consent.

Alternatively, if you do not consent, select I do not agree. A warning will be displayed and the registration process will stop.

Registration Step 3 – Set up account

Set the username and password for this myePayWindow portal account.

Usernameminimum of 6 characters. An email address can be used.
Passwordminimum of 8 characters, 1 upper case, 1 lower case, 1 special, 1 numeric.
Note: a special character is a punctuation type character, e.g. ! ? % = *
  1. Enter your username.
  2. Enter your password.
  3. Confirm the password.
  4. Select Register.
  5. A message will be displayed confirming you have registered successfully.
  6. An email will be sent with a link to activate the account, refer to Step 4 – Activate account.

Please note: The activation link will expire 24 hours after it is generated. If you have not activated the account within this timeframe you will need to request a new invite and restart the process from Step 1. Email to request a new invite.

Step 4 – Activate account

The final step is to activate the account.

  1. Select the link from the activation email (sent to the email address used in step 3) to open the login page.
  2. Enter the username and password, as configured in step 3, and select Login to complete the activation.

Your payroll department myePayWindow Portal is now ready to receive documents published from your payroll software.
