Resolution
You need to deregister the clients. Please see the steps below on how to do this;
How to deregister clients from Accounts production – go to Client | Status | No. To free up the licence first, take an extract (Client | Extract) then go to Posting | Post file maintenance | select client | Delete – this will remove all the postings and the chart associated with the client and therefore free up 1 licence.
How to deregister clients from Company Secretarial – Client | Deregister client
How to deregister clients from Personal Tax – Client | Status | No (Make sure no returns have been sent for that client in the tax year, and make sure there is no data) –if there is data entered which you do not want then: Edit | Delete tax year data – this will delete the selected years data.
