- It has been indentified that when trying to install IRIS Practice Software the installation fails and the following information can be found in the practice.log file. Unlock_Database 100 Failed to unlock database IRIS Error in UnlockDatabase (Server=SERVERNAME, Database=IRIS) Statement [], Error = [IDispatch error #3149], Description = [Login failed for user 'DOMAINSERVERNAME$'.]
- Resolution
- Following the steps below may help to resolve the problem.
- Click Start, click All Programs, click Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 or 2005/2012 and then click SQL Server Management Studio
- Select the required server and click Connect
- Click + next to Security
- Right click Logins and select New Login
- In the Login Name box type the user name listed in the error
- ClickSecurity and tick Sysadmin box
- Click OK to create the user
- Retry the installation of IRIS
