Problem
It has been indentified that when trying to install IRIS Practice Software the installation fails and the following information can be found in the practice.log file. Reset_Pre_Conversion_Paths status 0 paths reset. Error Message = Failed to initialise Table Converter - Failed to login into database Unspecified error HRESULT hr=0x80004005 Login failed for user 'irisdbo'. Reason: Not associated with a trusted SQL Server connection.
Resolution
Following the steps below may help to resolve the problem.
  • Click Start, SQL Server 2008 and then click SQL Server Management Studio
  • Select the required server and click Connect
  • Right click Servername and select Properties
  • Click Security and then click Mixed Mode Authentication
  • Click OK
  • Restart the SQL Services. Right click Servername and select Restart
  • Retry the IRIS installation
