To indicate a company is close company – open the company under the ‘Client maintenance’ screen – on the far right tick ‘close company’ which in turn ungreys out the two boxes in PT employment.
When entering employment data for PT clients from a Close Company with no dividends values – you get this warning below and a ‘EMP7.3 must be present if (SA102: Was this a close company) equals Yes’ error when generating. This is a known defect and we are looking to release a fix in the upcoming May 2026 Service pack SP1.
