First Academies Show of the Year Just Around the Corner

Next week, the first Academies Show of the year will take place. If you’ve never been to an Academies Show, they’re a great opportunity for everyone in the industry to come together, learn, discuss and network. Best of all, they’re free to attend. So, what’s going on at this year’s London event and why should you attend?

What’s on this year?

This London stint of the Academies Show is a one-day affair on April 26, at the ExCeL centre in London’s Docklands. As it is only a one-day show, and with so much on display, you might need to do a bit of pre-visit planning if you are heading down to the event. You can see the full agenda here, but whether you’re from an academy, a maintained school, a local authority or a charity, there’s lots to learn at the show and plenty of people with relevant experiences to share.

Some highlights and key speakers this year include Lord Nash from the Department for Education, and David Lewis of the Education Policy Institute. Lord Nash will be covering ‘Schools that work for Everyone’, and David Lewis will give a talk and lead a panel on a similar subject: ‘Promoting High Quality Educational Outcomes for All’. Another potential highlight of the main conference could be the Leader’s Panel Discussion entitled: ‘solutions from the frontline’.

Away from the main conference auditorium, where the seats work on a ‘first come, first served’ basis, there is so much else to get involved in at the event this year. There’s a number of panels and presentations on Multi-Academy Trusts, four learning theatres with all kinds of presentations and advice across a wide range of topics, and not forgetting the Exhibition floor itself – where you’ll find organisations from right across the education industry.

See you on the show floor

Naturally, that’s where you will find BioStore and our FasTrak solution, on stand 620. FasTrak’s friendly and helpful experts, will be ready and willing to demonstrate our wide range of solutions and discuss all things education. The Academies Show is always a great chance to immerse yourself in an environment full of people and organisations brimming with ideas and dedication to improving education. We love attending the show every time, and look forward to seeing and chatting to some regular faces, and hopefully to some new ones as well.

It’s just a little over a week away till the London Academies Show 2017, so it’s not too late to register. Head here to find out more about exactly what BioStore will be demonstrating at this year’s event.
