Smiles Ahead

Smiles Ahead is a busy practice that provides bespoke dental care to its 2,000 patients.
The practice which is based in Corby, Northamptonshire, prides itself on providing the very best private care for both adults and children.

Smiles Ahead offers a full range of affordable preventative and cosmetic treatments ranging from general dental health care, to cosmetic and restorative treatments like crowns, veneers and implants.

There are a mix of full and part time staff at the practice including seven general staff, one self employed staff member, three clinicians, four nurses and practice manager Michele Hunt.

Michele has used IRIS PAYE-Master for several years and has just installed IRIS Payroll Business in the practice. She likes IRIS software because of its ease of use, simplicity and believes it is perfect for a practice the size of Smiles Ahead.

She explained: “When I first started I did everything manually but as the practice started to grow and our staff started to number more than ten it was evident that we needed a system which could deal with things becoming a little more complex. IRIS PAYE-Master was recommended to us by our accountant and we have used it ever since. I have just installed IRIS Business Payroll which is the latest product and I am looking forward to getting to grips with it.

“IRIS software is very easy to pick up. It is simply laid out so you know exactly where you are with it. Nothing is over complicated. I have used it for so long I can look ahead and if a problem occurs I can deal with it. If you do get stuck with something the help line is also great. I work from two computers at different locations. If I’ve been working on one and then later use another and something is not accessible, for example I may have forgotton my log in, I contact the helpline and everything is sorted out.

“IRIS software is simple to use. The reports that you get off it tell you everything you need to know. I have two members of staff here who are paid monthly and the rest are paid weekly so I do have different figures to put in each week but I can have the payroll done in around 15 minutes. It is so simple, has great ease of use and you can pretty much use it on automatic pilot.

“I am looking forward to using IRIS Business Payroll because it will be even simpler. More improvements have been made including the new scroll down facility on the new system and I’m looking forward to getting it all up and running. I would definitely recommend IRIS products.”
