The Wallingbrook Health Group
The Wallingbrook Health Group is a large rural practice based in Chumleigh in Devon.
The busy practice is based over three sites and covers an area around 100 square miles from Burrington in the north to Lapford in the south, Dolton in the west to West Worlington in the east.
With a mixed patient base, the 38 staff, including six partners, aim to provide a very friendly and welcoming service for the 8,000 patients who use the surgeries.
The practice also boasts a strong and dedicated community healthcare team who extend that service into the local community.
Sarah Stapleton is Wallingbrook Health Group’s practice manager. She works hard to ensure the practice runs as efficiently and smoothly as possible. Sarah uses IRIS GP Payroll and she likes the payroll aspect of the software because she finds it meets the needs and requirements of NHS employees as well as saving her some time.
She explained: “I have been doing the payroll myself now for about 12 months and this practice was using IRIS for sometime before that. I had a minimal handover when I took over the role and it was not a problem. I picked it up straight away.
“I like IRIS because of the NHS pensions system and all the little anomalies that involves. It works well. It understands just what is required and does it.
“I find it very straight forward to use. On the whole doing the salaries is very quick, the print outs look good and it is quite a simple task. It saves me time which is very valuable to a practice manager.
“If you have a problem I find the help button and the manual are very helpful. Most things can be worked out straightaway. I have not had to use the helpline yet but a colleague has had to pick up the phone and she found the staff helpful and very courteous and they sorted her problem immediately.
“I would certainly recommend the payroll aspect of the software. I don’t have any problem with it.”
