We are delighted to announce that the British Heart Foundation is our chosen Charity of the Year for 2013-2014. The British Heart Foundation is the UK’s number one heart charity and the biggest funder of heart research in the UK. Following two rounds of voting IRIS employees have proudly chosen to work in partnership with the British Heart Foundation until July 2014. Together we are pledging to raise £25,000 for the ‘Mending Broken Hearts Appeal’ through staff and corporate fundraising. IRIS Chief People Officer Jane Pointet comments:
“IRIS is proud to be associated with the British Heart Foundation and helping with the fight against heart disease. IRIS see partnering with the BHF as a natural step in caring for our employee’s and the nation’s heart health. With over 400 employees across the UK, we can commit to raise funds to help deliver research, care and life saving education for those in need.”
IRIS is committed to improving the health of their employees and helping in the community. The partnership with the BHF is a perfect fit, and we will be supporting each other to deliver our key health campaigns during 2013/2014. The partnership will launch with a company-wide “big red donation box” week of the 12th August 2013. In earlier years we have raised £25,000 for the Make-A-Wish Foundation UK ® and £85,000 for Macmillan Cancer Support – our first official charity partner.
