IRIS Software Group, the UK’s leading provider of business critical software and services, is today announcing the appointment of Sion Lewis as CEO of its accountancy division. The appointment continues to increase IRIS’ commitment to connecting accountants, businesses and employees, enabling them to manage their financial and compliance requirements to achieve success.

Sion was the business’ Chief Sales Officer (CSO) for almost six years before leaving the company for a brief sabbatical earlier this year. Prior to this, Sion has spent more than 24 years working in other leading software companies, including Salesforce.com, BMC and Interwoven.

Kevin Dady, CEO of IRIS Software Group, says, “We’re delighted to welcome Sion back to IRIS. Having previously worked in the business as CSO, Sion brings a deep understanding of the UK accountancy sector and a wealth of experience to lead the IRIS Accountancy Division.

“At a time when HMRC’s ‘Making Tax Digital’ programme and the journey towards Brexit dominate the industry, Sion’s leadership will be instrumental in ensuring that IRIS continues to operate at the forefront of the UK accounting market sector, providing accountants with industry-leading software and delivering first class customer service at all levels.”

Sion Lewis, CEO of IRIS’ accountancy division, says, “We’re entering a very exciting time within the accountancy industry and it’s never been more important for accountants to be offering high-level business advice to their customers. As the UK tax regime becomes digitalised and the impact of Brexit unfolds around the world, I aim to drive even more innovation and exceptional levels of customer service to ensure our customers can maximise their investment in IRIS software and continuously add value to their clients.
