IRIS Software Group crowned ‘Tech Employer of the Year’ at the Thames Valley Tech Awards 2022
IRIS Software Group (IRIS) won the ‘Tech Employer of the Year’ category at this year’s Thames Valley Tech Awards, organised by The Business Magazine.
The awards recognise and celebrate innovative vendors, distributors, services providers, resellers, IT teams and buyers from the vibrant technology sector in the region.
Winners were announced on 20th October 2022 at the glamorous awards ceremony which took place at the Royal Berkshire Conference Centre.
This recognition confirms IRIS’ mission to provide employees with a culture of opportunity and improvement that enables them to become the best they can be, which is reinforced and encouraged by its extensive range of policies and practices.
Lizzy Barry, HR Director at IRIS, says, “Our approach is to do all the employee-focused and wellbeing things that we possibly can. That includes monthly employee surveys, so people take part in shaping what the company delivers.
“We hold regular sessions to capture employee feedback, where managers are able to respond in real-time. We are very ambitious in setting targets with objectives and key results to deliver on, so we look to improve every year by doing things better.
“IRIS is very acquisitive, so the idea of there being ‘one IRIS’ is really important to us. It means we have to capture what is great about the businesses we acquire and mirror this in the company by absorbing the best of their cultures.”
