IRIS Software Group named finalist at the Personnel Today Awards 2023

IRIS Software Group (IRIS) has been shortlisted in two categories at this year’s Personnel Today Awards, including ‘Early Careers’ and ‘Workplace Culture (Larger Employers)’.   

The winners will be announced during the glamourous ceremony on Tuesday 21st November at Grosvenor House Hotel, London.  

The ‘Early Careers’ Award recognises organisations which are excelling in recruiting those early in their careers and are committed to fostering a new generation of talent. Some initiatives which demonstrate IRIS’ commitment include:  

  • Funded 41 apprenticeships and seven masterships to support upward social mobility 
  • Launched Activate programme to nurture 104 graduates, apprentices, and those starting their careers, providing them with resources and guidance to progress 
  • Partnered with organisations including The Prince’s Trust, The Greater Manchester Combined Authority and Salford University offering work placements 

The ‘Workplace Culture’ Award celebrates organisations which have nurtured a strong workplace culture and are making great strides in improving it. In the past year, IRIS has:  

  • Facilitated belonging groups with 50 people, focused on creating an inclusive workplace for communities, including LGBTQA+ and BAME 
  • Partnered with Auticon to hire neurodivergent employees and the National Autistic Society to implement the Autism at Work programme 
  • Established a ‘Green Group’ with employees who champion sustainability. Impact includes requesting CSR policies from suppliers; adding recycling and waste management points to each site; reducing use of single-use plastic goods and purchasing sustainable office equipment 
  • Granted employees three ‘Giving Back Days’ to participate in charitable causes, with 426 days contributed and £91,000 raised for charitable causes 
  • Supported 70 employees through Women in Leadership programme and 12 women returning to work after a career break through Returnship programme
