Supporting charities over Christmas
The IRIS Accountancy Sales team are supporting CSR this Christmas.
Last week Chief Sales Officer, Sion Lewis, led a team of painters to SWIPE Music Projects where they painted the upstairs music room.
SWIPE was formed in 1997 to help further the education and training of children and young people at risk of being excluded from school. They provide young people in Slough with many musical activities including tuition in steel pan, guitar, drums, violin and vocal coaching. They also provide rehearsal space and free recordings to young bands and solo artist as well as teaching young people how to record and mix their own music:
On the 16th December, Karen Duffy and her team in Manchester worked with local radio station Key103 to support Mission Christmas.
Karen said of the day, “Our team decided to make use of the fantastic opportunity we have with paid CSR days to not only collect presents but also to use one of our days to go along to the presents depot in Trafford Park – picking and packing presents. It was manic and freezing, but an amazing opportunity to give something back and we all came away feeling very humble and grateful that we could be involved with such a great cause.”
