Problem
You may see the following error which prevents access from the software...
“An error occurred while reading Licencing Information, please contact Iris Support for further assistance”
Resolution
Close IRIS GP Payroll
Navigate to your GP Payroll installation folder in Windows Explorer, usually c:payroll.
Delete the file ‘GPconfig.cfg’.
Note: the file may show as GPConfig if you have your PC set to “hide known file extensions”
Open GP Payroll which will then allow you to log in as a demo system (note: all your employees will still be present)
Restore your last backup to recover your licence details.
Please note: any entries made since your last backup will have to be re-entered.
