Problem

RTI Submissions are rejected with the message:"The supplied IRmark is incorrect"
Usually accompanied with the message:
"The submission of this document has failed due to departmental specific business logic in the Body tag"

Resolution

This indicates the PC has a Beta Unicode setting enabled.

To resolve:

  • Close Payroll
  • Go to Control Panel  
  • Region  
  • Administrative
  • Change system locale….
E32 UniCodeBetaRTI 1 1 | The supplied IRmark is incorrect
  • make sure the “Current System Locale” is set to English (United Kingdom) 
  • untick ‘Beta: Use Unicode UTF-8 for worldwide language support’
E32 UniCodeBetaRTI 2 | The supplied IRmark is incorrect
  • Restart Payroll
  • The RTI submissions should now pass HMRC validation
