Problem

IRIS Business Tax-3001 Error 0 in comp, Tax District or Invalid Data Entry HMRC Office Number (EMP/CTO) and also Tax District

Resolution

HMRC Office number: Go to Client | View, open the TAX tab and look for the corresponding ‘code’ (like EMP or CTO etc) which is listed on the warning (for example, under PAYE District etc). HMRC states this cannot be used and you need to edit it. If you do not know which code to use then contact HMRC. Once corrected regenerate the tax return.

Update: The code ‘EMP’ is showing up more with this error.

Tax District: Go to Client | View, open the TAX tab and look for the corresponding Tax District ‘code’. HMRC states this cannot be used and you need to edit it. If you do not know which code to use then contact HMRC. Once corrected regenerate the tax return.
