How can I insert tags into an AutoMail Word template? For example, I would like my template to have the Client's identifier and the Partner Identifier as a reference. How do I add these tags to the template?
Resolution

Select the tags in the Tag Selection Screen:
The Tag Selection screen opens at the same time as the Word document template. At this point both screens can be used simultaneously to create and save the template. The Tag Selection screen has two main functions:

  1. To choose which tags are available to merge into the letter template from the database
  2. To save the template once it has been written To select the Tags in the Tag Selection Screen:
  • Log on to IRIS Automail from IRIS Main Menu
  • The AutoMail – Letter Request Browser will be displayed, click on the Templates button.
  • The AutoMail – Letter Template Maintenance Screen will be displayed. Highlight your template and click on the Edit button to edit the template.
  • The template will then be displayed,
  • Toggle on the Field codes (Press ALT F9 on your keyboard).
  • Minimize Word , the Tag Selection screen will be displayed
  • Any tags that need to be inserted can be done via the Tag Selection Screen. These are then available to be entered in Word.
  • Select the tags in the Tag selection screen. For example, the Clients Identifier and the Partner Identifier you would need to open the following folders:
The Particular Client | Common | Place a tick next to IRIS Client Identifier
The Particular Client | Common | Partner responsible for Client | Place a tick next to Identifier within IRIS
  • Click on the Refresh button
