Problem

When trying to update or install IRIS or PTP Accounts Production the following error occurs Installation Error - 12 - Lock Failure IRIS deploys a database locking mechanism tool as part of the installation. The lock prevents users from operating the software during the upgrade. It has not been possible to apply or release the lock and as a result the installation cannot continue

Resolution

The IRIS Support team will need to investigate this failure, use the instructions below to send your installation logs to us Details for sending in your log files can be found in KB IAS-11884
