Problem

When trying to delete the e-checklist from e-checklist status screen within Personal Tax getting the error "Cannot connect to Openspace" - This error message is appearing because the client's account has been deleted from Openspace.

Resolution

This is not an issue, this error appears because there is no connection between Personal Tax and Openspace. The only option available is to take an extract from Personal Tax of the client, then delete the client and once you can confirm that the client has been removed of the E-checklist status screen import the client back into Personal Tax. Please follow the instructions below to fix this: 1. Log into Iris Personal Tax and select the client 2. Click on Client | Extract, and select a location to save the XFR file too and click on Ok 3. Please ensure that you are able to see the XFR file where you have saved this too, before deleting the client in Personal Tax 4. In Personal Tax, select the client and click on Client | Delete 5. Click on Administration | E-checklist | E-checklist Status – This report should not show the client 6. In Personal Tax, select the client and click on Client | Import 7. Select the location you saved the XFR file to and click on Ok 8. Highlight the file and click on Open, select Yes to replace the data and click on Yes to replace the administration data Please note that you will need to import any jointly held source links.
