Problem

It has been identified that some users are encounter the following error "The licensing service is disabled or has become inactive" when trying to open IRIS. This problem usually arises when the IRIS Co-ordination Service is stopped.

Resolution

To resolve this, you’ll need to start the IRIS Co-ordination Service.

Press the Windows+R keys to open the Run dialog

Type services.msc, press Enter

Locate IRIS Co-ordination Service and select Start. Retry IRIS.

In persistent cases, right-click on the IRIS Co-ordination Service and choose properties. Change Startup type to Automatic (Delayed Start).

Click on Recovery tab, change all failures to Restart the Service, Apply
