Resolution
This error is coming from HMRC when you are trying to submit an amended return- so contact HMRC support and ask to speak to a senior and quote Error Code: 3001 1610. They will need to remove/void the original return on their side. In Business Tax, regenerate the electronic Tax return and submit the return as an original return not as amended return. see below.
– Go to Reports in the top left-hand corner
– Electronic Tax return
– Select New and Live
– Click OK
– Close the reports or save them
– Once this process is completed
– Go to Reports in the top left-hand corner
– Transmit Internet Return
– Highlight the return
– Transmit
